From sophisticted dining to the best Pub in the UK
Cornwall is riding high on the crest of a gastronomic wave with exciting finds to be had all over. A serious food-lover's paradise, you will be spoilt for choice for destinations, only moments away - including cool beach cafés, seafood joints, romantic candlelit service and cosy inns.
The Blisland Inn (CAMRA Pub of the Year) and village green is only a short walk through the wooded footpaths and we list and provide Garmin directions to personally recommended eateries and fine-dining establishments, so you don't have to worry about disappointment.
Secret beaches - find your own Blue Lagoon
Cornwall beaches are spectacular and some of Europe’s finest. The village beach is only a 15 minute drive away along the tree-lined and flower-draped sunken country lanes. Access is secret (shhh) and well hidden, but we will be handing over a top of the range Garmin to guide you to the best place to park and directions of which bush to duck under for the secret valley path to acres of talcum powder white sand and turquoise waters. A freshwater waterfall makes this a hidden gem...
The north coast, with its stunning steep cliffs of thrift, rare Rock Sea-lavenders and maritime grasses, has countless hidden coves and sheltered bays to picnic in, explore or bathe together.
The gentler south coast has a myriad of pretty villages and mile upon mile of coastal footpaths to journey along, with stops to share cream teas of course.
Your luxurious bolt-hole is at the source of the River Camel, flowing to the rugged north coast, and of the River Fowey, flowing to the gentle south coast. Spend a few hours or the whole day drifting downstream with the tide along the majestic River Fowey to explore the deep, hidden folds of this steep-sided valley all the way to the sea. Ancient oak woodlands cloaked in mosses and ferns spread from the very heights to dip their lowest branches tantalisingly into the water as you glide by...
Kayak Hire for couples and even guided tours as Fowey River Expeditions can be easily arranged, with the Love-in-the-Round sat-nav loaded with all you will need.
Perhaps head out for an exhilarating ride with your mermaid or merman to explore the spectacular north Cornwall cliffs and hidden bays by speedboat rib on a Wildlife Seafari? This is by far the best way to see megafauna such as gentle giant Basking Sharks, pods of inquisitive Bottle-nosed Dolphins, fluffy white Grey Seal pups and the leviathan majestic whales that share these turquoise clear waters with the two of you.
With the owners being professional naturalists and experts on Cornwall's wildlife, advice and inspiration is on hand to be part of some of the best wildlife spectacles the UK has to offer.
